UPS – What is a UPS?

Definition of UPS

UPS stands for Uninterruptible Power Supply (also known as a UPS) is a device that can provide power for a period of time corresponding to the design capacity to maintain the operation of electrical equipment interrupting when power grid goes wrong.

The operating principle is based on converting direct current (DC) from battery to alternating current (AC) in accordance with equipment requirements. In addition to the main function of backup power, UPS ARES also adds other functions such as automatic voltage regulation (AVR) to maintain 220v / 50Hz current, anti-pulse, noise filter, surge protection.

UPS classification:

  • Based on the principle of operation UPS is divided into 3 main product lines: Offline, Line Interactive and Online. The Offline Series provides simulated sine wave output currents, Online currents with Online Double Conversion technology provide standard sine wave output currents.

In addition, we also expanded 2 more product lines: Home Inverter and UPS DOORS.

  1. UPS Offline is the most popular product line on the market today and is cheaper than Line Interactive. The principle of operation is that the grid passes through the switch before it is supplied to the load for use. UPS now only uses the charger (charger) to fully charge the battery. In case the power grid is unstable (too high, too low or out of power), the UPS will automatically switch (via relay), using battery power to supply equipment to maintain operation. (Figure 1)
  • Characteristics: small capacity 650VA -> 2000VA. Often used for non-motorized equipment such as timekeepers and computers.
  1. UPS Line Interactive has the same operating principles as Offline but has AVR (Auto Volt Range) that automatically adjusts the voltage (output) of 220v / 50Hz to provide stable equipment. In case the grid voltage is too high or too low, UPS Line Interactive with voltage stabilizer circuit automatically switches to another step so that the output voltage ensures the correct load as required. (Figure 2)
  • Characteristics: capacity of 1000VA -> 3000VA. Standard sine wave form can be used for all devices with or without motor. Included UPS management software included. Connect via USB or RS232.
  1. UPS Online completely overcome the disadvantages of the previous product line with Online Double Conversion technology which eliminates problems of power grid because the input voltage is always modulated before being applied to the load for use. The mains supply is not directly supplied to the device but is converted into direct current for the battery; The inverter will continue to convert the DC direct current into an output voltage suitable for the device used. Thus, we see that when the mains occur any problem, your equipment is always safe.
  • Characteristics: capacity of 1000VA -> 1trVA. Standard sine wave is therefore good for all devices from medical devices, cameras to offices, homes and industrial parks. Included UPS management software connected via USB and RS232. There is a remote SNMP card.

UPS Online series are usually designed with large capacity (from 1KVA ~ 500KVA), which can extend the time of storage with battery backup power both internal and external, so in addition to devices with resistive load properties such as equipment office, computer, UPS Online can also be used for server systems, data centers (data centers) and even engine load devices.

  1. Home Inverter is a perfect combination of technology: UPS and Inverter
  • Replace the generator because the battery (not using gasoline or oil) does not pollute the environment; There are smart chargers compatible with many types of batteries on the market; Very fast switching time.
  • A good backup power for office equipment, camera system + fire alarm for families – companies – factories, home appliances, elevator control cabinets … and many other devices including devices with or without motors, up to 10 hours of storage time, depending on the battery capacity that customers require, the automatic voltage regulation (AVR) to maintain 220v / 50Hz device protection. Operating in harsh environments.
  1. UPS UPS DOORS 600w – 1000w

DOORS can open and close in many different ways: using the remote, with the key or can be opened manually and the most convenient is still using the remote. UPS UPS is always chosen to go with the remote controller, rolling doors, although very modern and convenient, but like other electric devices, it will be really troublesome when the power goes out and UPS Ares UPS will erase those troubles. You should choose the UPS to suit the type of door motor.

Our UPS UPS DOORS are designed with 2 modes: running continuously when there is electricity or control connection. You can switch modes by flipping the switch on the back of the UPS.

Advantages:

  • Moto protection: Standard sine wave form, no harm to moto
  • Save electricity: turn off 10 minutes, no power consumption
  • High efficiency: Controlled by microprocessor, inverter efficiency over 95%
  • Perfect protection: overload protection, low voltage, short circuit, over temperature
  • Real capacity: Starting 10 times continuously and 20 times continuously
  • Standby time: Over 30 days (using remote)

Application: specialized for all types of rolling doors.
